Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Whether you’re in a relationship or celebrating “Singles Awareness Day,” don’t forget to show your four-legged friend some love on February 14th…and every other day, for that matter!
We started celebrating a little bit early thanks to PawPak’s Valentines themed box that they sent us to review. We were so excited to see what the Canadian subscription box had in store for us.
Located in Woodstock, Ontario, PawPak provides dogs and their owners with a monthly assortment of goodies and useful products, and donates 10% of their proceeds to Canadian rescue groups and shelters. After selecting your dog’s size (small, medium or large) you can also choose how long you’d like your subscription to be. Plans automatically renew each month.

There’s lots to review so let’s get started!
Valentine’s Day would not be complete without something sweet and heart shaped. This heart shaped cookie, baked by Bosco and Roxy’s, is safe for your dog to consume as it contains dog-friendly ingredients brown rice and rye flour, apple sauce, flax seeds and cinnamon. These cute cookies retail for $2.49 each, and are great way to celebrate a holiday or birthday with your pup.
Remember those fiery cinnamon hearts we all either loved or hated? Well, cinnamon is back, but this time for your pup!
We received a delicious Cinnamon Crunch Bar by Snicky Snaks. We’ve reviewed Snicky Snaks products before and have always been very pleased with them. Bachaesh loved this organic treat. The Crunch Bar is very dense and therefore makes a great treat for smaller dogs to work away at slowly. Not only does the cinnamon smell heavenly, but they’re quite affordable at $2.39 each.
Choc Drops are a pastille shaped carob treat for dogs. You can use them as an occasional reward for good behaviour, or even to jazz up some dog-safe baked goods. As I predicted, Bachaesh did not like these. Our other taste testers Pepper and Muffin, however, gobbled them right up! It just goes to show that even dogs differ when it comes to having a preference for sweet or savoury! A bag of these chocolatey delights retails for about $3.75.
You’ve got to look your best on Valentine’s Day, and that requires grooming!
Pepper, the 9 month old black lab, was the perfect product tester for this Pro Plus Shedding Brush. Her coarse fur was easily collected in the rubber nubs of this brush. Its ergonomic design also makes it easy to brush your dog as the band slips over your hand, and the brush lies flat against your palm. Though easy to use at any age, I think older pet owners would find this especially helpful if they have arthritis or pain associated with the hands or joints as is the case with my mom. Similar products retail for about $8.99.
We all need someone to snuggle up to on those cold winter nights. This fuzzy pink Yeti by GoDog is sure to keep your pup entertained and cozy warm. Featuring a squeaker and Chew Guard Technology, these Yeti toys have an extra layer of woven mesh to help the toy stand up to all the rough play your pup will put it through. This toy retails for about $16.
It’s not always about how much you spend. Sometimes it’s the thought that counts. And what gift says “thinking of you” and practicality like poop bags?
Earth Rated is a great poop bag manufacturer that is very involved in community events and looking after the environment. Their signature green bags are quite durable and come in Lavender and Unscented. Earth Rated poop bags can be bought in packages of 8, with 15 bags per roll.
Memories make life special. Make those pup memories live out in open!
Last but not least, we received this cute picture frame from LSC Accessories. I love having pictures all over my house because they remind me of all the great adventures I’ve gone on with my family. I will be adding Bachaesh’s photo to this cute frame right away and it will have a permanent place on my desk.
I loved how PawPak created this Valentine’s Day themed box with both owner and pup in mind. As first time PawPak recipients we were pleased with the selection of products we received. If you’re looking to try PawPak you can sign your pup up on the PawPak website.
Have a great weekend!
Emily & Bachaesh
