August came and went in the blink of an eye…as did many of the treats we received in our first-ever Paw Pack from the US of A! Paw Pack is a subscription service that delivers a monthly box of Organic, All-Natural or Eco-friendly goodies for your dog or cat. Paw Pack allows you to pick a box based on your pet’s size, and has 3 box options:

Paw Pack very kindly sent us one of their boxes to review and I’ve got to say, out of all of the subscription boxes I have reviewed so far, it is -hands down- one of my favourites! I was very impressed with the assortment of treats, toys and goodies that we received in this box. We received 3 full-sized bags of treats, 6 treat samples, 2 toys, and a cute magnet! That’s a total of 12 items. The best part is that all of these products fall into at least one of three categories: Organic, All-natural, or Eco-Friendly. While it took a little bit longer to receive in the mail, it was well worth the wait.
These LOL (Lick Out Loud) treats not only have cute packaging and great meaty ingredients, but they’re also Canadian! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner of the company that makes these treats, Buddy’s Kitchen, at Woofstock. He showed us how confident he was with the all natural ingredients of his treats by munching down on one before our very eyes. Buddy’s Kitchen, which operates out of Aurora, Ontario, posts videos online about their cooking process so that you can see exactly what goes into making the treats you’re giving to your pup.
These LOL treats are a moist pea-sized treat that I think is perfect for training, or using in a treat ball. Because the treats are moist, you can easily break them apart for a tea-cup sized dog, or reform them to keep them lodged in kong-type toys.
These treats are wheat, corn and soy free and contain no artificial flavours. Our 150 gram bag retails for $5.00 CAD.
Our second full-size bag of treats was from WildSide. These WildSide Salmon treats are a crunchy puffed baked treat made with ingredients such as Wild Alaskan Salmon, Organic Kelp, Sweet Potato, Cranberries, and Blueberries. These treats are 100% grain free and retail for $6 US.
Our third full-sized treats were also from WildSide and were the WildSide Lamb’n treats. Also, grain free, these treats contain free-range lamb from New Zealand, Apple, Potato, Canola Oil and Natural Anti-Oxidants. These Lamb’n treats retail for $7.00 US.
Next in our Paw Pack we received 3 samples from Sojos. The treats have a short but sweet list of ingredients- Such as the Chicken Pot Pie flavour with oat flour, rolled oats, potato, chicken, carrots, celery, canola oil, eggs- which makes me happy as a consumer. I like knowing what my dog is eating! The treats are made from freeze-dried raw ingredients so they maintain the nutrients that are important in your pup’s diet. Furthermore, Sojos assures that their ingredients meet meticulous screening standards and contain absolutely nothing from China.
Bachaesh wasn’t too fond of the gluten-free Lamb & Sweet Potato treats because they have Garbanzo Bean Flour (which I can only imagine must taste a bit different). He did eat them in the end though! The other two flavours, Chicken Pot Pie and Bacon-Cheddar, were immediate hits!

We got this super cute little magnet from 2 Dogs and a Guy. I will neither confirm nor deny that the above statement applies to me! I also did my best to find more information on the company, but with a name like “2 Dogs and a Guy” you can imagine that my search results were anything but product related.
If ever there was a jerky-esque treat I was impressed by, these Sliders BeefStickz by Clear Conscience Pet would make the list. Bachaesh was eager to eat this the moment I opened our Paw Pack!

These impressive meaty treats contain only beef, organic flaxseed, cheddar cheese, dried carrot, dried tomato, dried spinach, celery powder, and sea salt. Sold in packs of 6 these Sliders retail for $10 US. Definitely a “buy again” sort of treat!
This Wag More Bark Less Hollow Fetch Bone was happily received by my mother’s Labrador Retriever puppy, Pepper. Pepper, who is in the midst of gaining her adult teeth, loved this little natural rubber toy, and carried it with her around the backyard. With both ends hollowed out, there is space to put a small treat such as the Lick Out Loud moist treats that you can “smoosh” to fit. This small sized toy which retails for $10 US is Non-toxic, Renewable, Sustainably harvested, Biodegradable, Phthalate free, PVC free, and Petroleum free.
I also gave this Cycle Dog Retreads Fuzz Ball toy to Pepper. The ball portion contains natural rubber and recycled post-consumer rubber. The tail is a synthetic faux fur with a squeaker inside. I think Pepper thought I was giving her an actual squirrel when I gave this to her because she looked like she had never had such an amazing gift before. Unfortunately, those sharp puppy teeth of hers removed the tail from the ball. That aside, she still loves this ball. I’d recommend supervision when giving this toy to a chewer. The Retreads Fuzz Balls retail for $10-$13 US.
Another sample we received was this Homestyle Venison & Cranberry Dinner from Addiction. It is a raw, dehydrated food for dogs that can be mixed with water to reconstitute it.
I love the mission statement that Addiction has to use sustainably sourced meats, raised in growth hormone, steroid and stress-free environments. [If you’d like to read more about the company click here]
While this food does contain New Zealand Venison, cranberries, papaya, and spinach, there were also some ingredients I was unfamiliar with: Taurine ( turned out to be used in Humans to treat congestive heart failure, diabetes and improve mental function), Pyridoxine (AKA Vitamin B6), and Thiamine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B1). I guess those unfamiliar ingredients aren’t so bad after all! Bachaesh loved this food and licked the bowl clean. A 4 oz bag of this raw dehydrated food retails for $5.40 US, or 8lbs for $96 which will last quite a while.
Now you and your dog can enjoy the health benefits of Chia seeds together! Super Gravy, by Clear Conscience Pet, is a “superfood” for your cat or dog. This Holistic Instant Gravy is designed to increase palatability of regular dog foods for dogs that are picky eaters, animals receiving chemotherapy or with other serious illnesses, animals who have lost their appetites due to aging or have had to switch to less tasty, health-conscience diets as recommended by a Veterinarian. Packed with a myriad of vitamins, minerals and all-around “good stuff” this gravy really is SUPER! All you have to do is add 3/4 tsp of the gravy mix to warm water, stir and pour over your dog’s food.
A 4.5 oz package of Super Gravy mix retails for $12.95 US and will last you a long time! (But hopefully not too long- we hope your pooch gobbles it up!)

Even without including the cost of samples, the value of the Paw Pack has exceeded the cost of their most expensive box at $43 US. I am incredibly impressed with the quality of the products in this box, as well as the quantity. I will definitely be buying boxes from them in the future! Paw Pack also has amazing customer service if you ever have any questions. I bothered them with a lot of emails and they were always very friendly and helpful.
